Adolf Wolfli (1864-1930)




Adolf Wolfli was admitted to Waldau Mental Asylum in Bern, Switzerland at age thirty-one. Diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Wolfli spent the rest of his life in this institution where he proceeded to produce an enormous body of art work.  His fnal masterpiece, The Funeral March was a written musical score that consisted of 1,000 collaged pages.
