Hyacinth beans

Housewife's pride and joy

This image believe it or not was found on a seed packet I purchased around six years ago back when I worked in a nursery in Ohio. I never tried actually growing these cucumbers and now I kinda regret it just for the sheer curiosity of how a plant could support such monstrosity of a vegetable.

I am in love with this apartment that I found on the Apartment Therapy website belonging to a woman by the name of Paige who lives in Williamsburg, NY. She has such a great collection of beautiful artifacts and indoor plants that gives one the sense of being in a jungle. She even has a loft bed made out of white birch....worth checking out, it's also funny to see how people responded to her place on the website.

This link should take you right to the images....

1. bronze fennel and Echinops

2. Allium, huckleberry, and Tovara 'Red Dragon'

3. banana, Eryngium agavifolium, etc...

These pictures are from my old garden I had a few years back. They make me happy everytime I look at them because it was so fun to be able to have the space to create interesting plant combinations. Currently, I have downsized to a small apartment and have quite a small little plot outside the window which I have also started to plant up a bit. I hope to use this blog as a way to keep up an imaginary garden and to stay inspired by all the plants and other oblects in nature and on the web that I come across....and to share it all with others.
